Spirit level

Spirit level is a work/installation in which a spirit level is rectified to be the antenna of a theremin. The spirit level is installed dead-straight in a position of an artwork you cannot see. The speakers, amp and theremin are hidden behind a partition or in the inside of a plinth.
As the viewer comes near the spirit level the sound starts and pitches up. The theremin was used in early films to mimic the sound of ghosts and other spirits, recalling the idea of a presence. As It pitches up it also sounds like it is telling the "level of spirit" of the viewer as he concentrates on looking at the work.
