the box connected, while leaving it
feeling deeply, hopelessly alone.

A Karaoke video, complete with bouncing ball prompt, albeit with emojis instead of text. The backgrounds to the karaoke track, are aggresively hypnotic black and white kaleidoscopic videos accompanied by loud shepard tones coming from the screen side channel. The continuous variations are in direct contrast with the itemised and crassly generic emojis – which the box sings by way of corresponding stock
sounds from libraries– resulting in disorientation between the sensory overload of one and the linear reading of the other.
