Life of Stills

Partly an hommage to Giorgio Morandi, and his lengthy, protracted deliberations with making bottles arrangement, before he finally came to paint them—Life of Stills is a work presenting as a series of images and which seeks to confuse the medium that would most likely contain them.
The images themselves are a product of chance: the result of unorthodox ways with a laser-printer (feeding the same drawing paper sheets multiple times) while pausing a 4K video footage and sending the images to print (i.e stills). These images are then presented resting on a running wooden ledge with uneven spacing, further reveberating their objecthood and combinatory arrangement—recalling both the table within the images, and the timeline which originated them.

The wooden ledge can be made as long or short as it needs, with number of images variable (each is 40x27cm approx). 2025.
